Shiner Brewery Cruise
11/18/2023
On Saturday 11/18/23 Gail Nelson & I joined other San Antonio Mustang Club members, Miguel Rosario & Janis Rosario, Paul & Renee Read, and Mark & Christina Perez for a Club cruise to the Spoetzl Brewery, Home of Shiner Beers in Shiner, Tx.
It was Mark's birthday so many of his family members joined in too.
We started with breakfast together at Cracker Barrel then hit the road for an enjoyable day.
The plan was for our group to tour Spoetzl's new Distillery but we weren't able to because the 12th Annual Beer Run was the same day...perfect excuse for another trip in the Spring!
The visit was still fun with the thousands of other Shiner fans, live music, and came home with a bottle of Shiner Shine Whiskey
From Shiner, our group stopped on the way home at Baker Bros. BBQ in Gonzales for a fantastic relaxing lunch.

Bluebonnet Cruise to Burnet
04/08/2023
Thank you to everyone who joined Jerry & I on the cruise to Burnet to see bluebonnets. Those brave souls were Miguel & Jan Rosario, Charlie & Carmenza Hamilton, Dwight & Nancy Tribby, Ray Machacon, Charles Herber, Jim & Jean Cooper, and Paul & Renee Read.
We started our journey from the Walmart parking lot in Spring Branch. First stop - the Valero station in Round Mountain for a photo op. There was quite a few Porsche's already there on their way to Llano.
Next stop - Haley Nelson Park in Burnet. Of course, on the way to the turnoff, I think every one of the guys noticed there was a car show as part of the Bluebonnet Festival. But WOW, the bluebonnets were plentiful and we all got some wonderful shots.
Now we're all ready for lunch. Crazy Gals Cafe reserved their private room for our crowd and we all enjoyed fantastic lunches - well, 1 breakfast (lol).
After lunch everyone headed across the street to the car show (and there were some beautiful cars there) and the Festival.
I think everyone had a wonderful time, and personally, I cannot wait for someone to come up with an idea for another local cruise.

Gateway Classic Cars Grand Opening Cruise-in
08/27/2022
What a beautiful turnout! SAMC was the featured car club for Gateway Classic Cars Grand Opening and we brought out a head turning 33 cars. Not all were Mustangs, but they were all Fords.
We started out the day pretty early, meeting at Buccee’s in New Braunfels, with lots of us grabbing something to eat before heading out to Gateway. SAMC members attending were: Ken & Karen Agres, Ken Allums, Tom Bader, Rick Birnbach, Jim & Jean Cooper, Earl & Lou Critchlow, Paul Dean, Sam & Cheryl DiIanni, Joe Gonzeles, Richard Gutin, Gene Hitzfelder, Bea Kalinowski, Jerry Kalinowski, Denny Kalk, Darr Klein, Peter Laksberg, Karl & Levon Lang, Gary Lieneman, Gail & Cathy Nelson, Eddie Perez, Greg Polizzi, Paul & Renee Read, Curtis Romey, Miguel & Janis Rosario, Traci Stetler, Dwight Tribby, Nancy Tribby, Paul Woeppel & Traci Tate.
Traci, Cheryl & Bea spent most of the morning selling 50/50 tickets to benefit Triple H Equitherapy. The total sold was $572, with $286 going to the winner. The total amount for our charity from the 50/50 will be $301 as 3 people donated $5 each instead of buying tickets since they wouldn’t be there for the drawing. Add in the $200 we will receive from Gateway for bringing out more than 20 cars, and we scored $501 for Triple H Equitherapy.
There was lots of beautiful vehicles, inside & out, and I would like to thank Paul Woeppel, Tim Allums & Cathy Nelson for all the beautiful photos.
