Welcome to the San Antonio Mustang Club

Join us December 14th from 11:00 am - 11:45 am for the Canyon Lake Noon Lions Christmas Parade! There is a place in the parade for SAMC year; so, if you are not going to the event at Pipe Creek, TX, this morning, please consider coming out to the parade.

Assembly area is the Valero gas station at 14580 River Rd, Canyon Lake, TX 78133.

Please be at the assembly area between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. At no later than 10:30 am, SAMC will take its place in the parade along Sattler Road.

The Canyon Lake Noon Lions Club will have marshals along Sattler Road (it runs behind, and parallel to, TX Hwy 2673). The marshals will direct the club to SAMC's starting place on Sattler Road..

Christmas decorations on your Mustang are highly encouraged! Just a reminder - please do NOT throw out any candy from your cars onto the road (it's a safety hazard - children will not watch where they are running).

Also, no burnouts or doughnuts! This will get the club banned and owner of the car ticketed (there are many police officers along the parade route). No one has ever done this; but, it's being said right here for the sake of clarity and safety.

Pancakes with Santa!!

Activities: After Breakfast games for kids of all ages, horses will be out to meet and greet everyone.
Hay ride to the north poll plus pictures with Santa.

0930 : Arrive at assembly area.

1000 - 1100 : Depart assembly area, cross the line of departure, and drive to 1st objective, the Valero gas station at 10541 US-281, Round Mountain, TX 78663. SAMC will rendezvous with MOCA, take a short break, then head over to Opie's BBQ Restaurant..

1130 - 1145 : Drive to 2nd objective, Opie's BBQ Restaurant, 9504 State Hwy 71, Spicewood, TX 78669.

1145 - 1329 : Enjoy BBQ lunch with fellow Mustang fans.

1330 : Event end. SAMC members drive home at their own pace..

1. Arrive 0930 to 0959. H-E-B parking lot, 18140 San Pedro Av, San Antonio, TX 78232

Depart Assembly Area at 1000 and Cross Line of Departure

2. Drive out of the H-E-B parking lot (the assembly area), cross the line of departure (the west edge of the parking lot), and turn right onto the access road (San Pedro Av).

Drive to the 1st Objective (Valero gas station, Round Mountain, TX)

3. Drive north on the access road (San Pedro Av), crossing underneath TX Loop 1604, and merge onto northbound US Hwy 281.

4. Drive 58 miles north on US Hwy 281.

5. Turn left into Valero gas station parking lot, 10541 US Hwy 281, Round Mountain, TX 78663.

Drive to 2nd Objective (Opie's BBQ Restaurant).

6. Turn left onto US Hwy 281 and drive north for 6.3 miles to TX Hwy 71.
7. Exit right onto eastbound TX Hwy 71; and drive 9.2 miles to Opie's BBQ Restaurant, 9504 TX Hwy 71, Spicewood, TX. 78663.

08 January 2025 - Monthly Club Meeting, Matamoros Cafe and Cantina, I-10 Access Road, San Antonio, TX. The meeting was moved, by membership vote, from Wednesday, 01 January 2025, to Wednesday, 08 January 2025.

18 January 2025 - SAMC & MOCA Cruise to Opie's BBQ Restaurant, Spicewood TX. SAMC and the Mustang Owners Club of Austin (MOCA) are teaming up again to cruise to Opie's BBQ Restaurant! SAMC starts the cruise at the assembly area, the H-E-B parking lot at 18140 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232, arriving NLT 09:30 AM. Departure will be at 10:00 AM sharp. Expected travel time to SAMC's rendezvous with MOCA is 1 hour (11:00 AM) at the Valero gas station, 10541 US Hwy 281, Round Mountain, TX 78663. From there, Opie's BBQ Restaurant is a short 15 minute / 15 mile drive away on TX Hwy 71 to the northeast. Registration is required; so, head over to the Event Page and sign up!

First Wednesday of every month

Matamoros Restaurant has opened their doors
for the San Antonio Mustang Club to hold their
monthly meetings in their private party room.
The room can accommodate over 200 people
comfortably, the food delicious and reasonably
