Hello SAMC Members - 

 

If you attended our February and March meetings, you know that we have been asked to take over the Bulverde Car Show at the beautiful Bulverde Baptist Church grounds.  It's a wonderful location with numerous amenities and plenty of space for cars and vendors.  Our show proceeds would be used as donation to Dare To Love.

 

The Car Show Committee has been having constructive meetings, started working on spreading the word about the show, getting vendors, sponsors, designing a flier, & selecting show categories.

 

At the March meeting we asked for volunteers to help with the car show.  As of now, including Board Members, we only have 19 people out of our entire membership that have agreed to help.

 

Originally, the Bulverde Lions Club said they would help with the car show. This was to include their members' assistance, signage, etc.  Sadly, since then, they have completely backed-out due to discord in their own organization.

 

So, what does this all mean for the car show? It means that if we can't, at the very least, double the amount of volunteers to work the day of the show (October 19, 2019), we will Not be able to hold the car show.

 

As you know, our goal each year is to provide funds to help the children going into the San Antonio's Child Protective Services system by supporting Dare To Love.  They truly need our help.

 

Please understand, if we don't get a large number of volunteers to help hold this car show, the membership will need to come up with other ways to secure monies for our donation to Dare To Love.  

 

To those who have already thrown your hat into the ring to help.... Thank you!

 

To those who have not, I implore you to look at your calendars, open your hearts to help others, and inform me right away if you can take the time (1-day out of 365) to help.  Please contact me by Sunday, March 31st.
