10Th Annual Shelby Car Show
SAMC members, just a reminder, If you plan to go, we highly recommend
you get your rooms as soon as possible. 

There is a group of SAMC and the Southwest Texas Shelby and Performance 
Mustang Club (STSPMC) which will be headed to the Legacy Shelby Event in Plano Texas
on 7-8 June in Plano Texas. This event is put on by Arron Shelby, 
son of the late Carroll Shelby.  This is a great event and venue. 
Team Shelby Texas Chapters are hosting a weekend of social events in
order to enhance the experience of those attending the Annual Shelby Car Show
at Legacy Texas Bank. The event celebrates the automotive genius of Carroll Shelby.
More info will be given at the meeting as well as updates as the agenda solidifies. 

There are a few things to know about the event.
Where: Legacy Bank, Plano Texas
When: 7-9 June 2019

1) The Saturday Legacy event runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm

2) The Team Shelby Southern Plains Region (TS-SPR) is organizing event to compliment
the event.  SAMC Members are welcome to participate. 
TS-SPR will be arriving at the event around 6:30am to secure parking for the chapter
members so we can all park together.   Registration and payment for the weekend’s
event will be conducted via the Park Up Front app (this can only done on a mobile device
and the app is downloadable for Apple and Android). 

This WILL NOT include a reservation for the Shelby Car Show**. Details for registration
will be released shortly. Fee for the TS-SPR Activities is $75 per person and includes
Saturday evening buffet dinner. Plus admission ticket to FueledUp event
which is held at Nebraska Furniture Mart in The Colony from 8am-10am. 
Additionally, there will be door prizes and such for the TS-SPR event. 

3) The Shelby event is also supported by the Shelby Cobra Association of Texas (SCAT)
with volunteers to help with parking and such.  SCAT also hosts a dinner on Friday 
evening, More information to follow on this event. 

4) Registration for the Legacy Shelby event should open 1 May, and 
will fill up quickly. **Registration for the Shelby Car Show at Legacy Bank is done
directly through the bank’s website that will be available at a later time.

5) Please register on our website if you plan to attend
so we know to expect you. We will have a meeting dedicated to
this event for those attending.  Remember, you also need to register
on the Park up Front app to pay for the TS-SPR event. 

6) Rally point date and time will be determined once we determine who 
is going and what time they can leave. 

7) Finally, if you really are planning on going you need to make hotel 
reservations right away.  Hotels will fill up quickly for this event.
