A Father’s Legacy - 1993 Mustang LX

Story submitted by NMCC Member, Chris Josey

I’m Chris Josey and I’ve been racing for the past 17 years, since I was about 16 years old. I basically grew up into drag racing, thanks to my dad and my uncle. My car is a 1993 Mustang LX that I purchased in 2016. It was originally owned by Kevin Toothman, Fun Ford Weekend Street Bandit Racer. Back then, the car had a 399ci N/A motor.

Unfortunately, a month after I purchased the car from Kevin, my dad passed away. He never got to see the car and watch me race in it.

Now I currently have the car set up for X275 with 2-stage Proflow Nitrous system and Edelbrock Nitrous Progression system, MSD digital plus 7531 box. However, due to limited funds and lack of crew, I’m only running on motor and only bracket race.
